I do not have any puppies at the moment, but if you cannot find one, please phone and I will try and find puppy for you, from a reputable breeder who Optigen tests. Any puppies I will not have seen, but one parent at least will be Optigen DNA tested. Meaning the puppy will not go blind with PRA. I do not advise buying a puppy unless parents or one of parents has been tested in America with Optigen DNA test. Most reputable breeders are now breeding A to A. It is worth spending a bit more to get a puppy from these sources, although I have seen puppies from non Optigen tested parents asking the same money.
The other test BVA/KC test is the test we had to have yearly after dog was 3, it does not tell you if dog is carrier, and dogs can have a clear certificate till they are found to have PRA at around 6 years. Carriers will go clear on the test in this country. 2 carriers produce blind dogs.
